Since Brishen was really young, he has loved to sort, organize, and categorize things. I have pictures of him lining up his toy lizards and Hot Wheels cars based on size or color or type from the time he was just toddling around. When you listen to him for any length of time, you can tell that he loves organization--he fills his head with numbers and rankings and statistics of all sorts.
He spent some of his weekend sorting his pile of piggy bank change in various ways. He was telling me their relative sizes, their various dates, the different types of quarter backs, etc., and that was even before he spent hours with it this afternoon. I'll have to ask him in the morning about what else he discovered.
It is difficult sometimes to be interested in hearing about all those facts in his head (I'm going to try harder), but it is not too difficult to be amazed at all the numbers he has floating around in there and all that he remembers and has sorted out.
