Later in the day, the kids got a chance to go swimming with some friends. The lifeguards gave Basia this swim cap. She was so proud of it and felt like quite the Olympic swimmer!

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!
I don't know why I bother giving these kids school assignments when they use their free time in such smart, creative ways. Basia spent much of yesterday making and distributing her own newspapers. Brishen even got in on the action during some of his breaks. I was going to go tell them that they should be spending their free time outside until I realized they were writing their own newspaper articles. I decided to back away, sneak a few pictures, and let them continue. They wrote articles and then delivered their papers all over the house.

Later in the day, the kids got a chance to go swimming with some friends. The lifeguards gave Basia this swim cap. She was so proud of it and felt like quite the Olympic swimmer!
