I'm slow about blogging this week. First of all, nothing much is going on except our normal routine, and I'm running out of ways to make our "normal" sound interesting, even to myself. I've told my blogging world (all 3 of you) what we do on a regular basis, and I've not yet become brave enough to blog about some other things--you know, those deep, inner thoughts about the world, chocolate, and the tooth fairy.
Anyway, Basia is studying apples in preschool this week. She can now explain the cycle of seed to seedling to blossom to pollination to little apple to apple ready to harvest. As one of her activities, she made some caramel apples and apple cobbler on Tuesday and invited family over to share it. She then spent the evening delivering her newspapers to each family member and interpreting their stories for them.
Our biggest event of the week was when Brishen received a phone call this morning from his Uncle Kenn. He received the news that he will no longer be the only boy cousin on the Daves side. Kenn and Diana are expecting a boy! We are all very excited. Brishen did get a little sad when I told him that this teeny, tiny, little boy cousin may some day grow up to be taller than he will be! He has enjoyed his status as "Tall One" for almost ten years now, so we will have to see if he will be de-throned.
