Corn Maze

Today was our annual visit to our local corn maze/pumpkin patch with our homeschool group. Here are some of the things we enjoyed:

1. An educational presentation 2. Climbing over big old tractor tires 3. Riding extra large trikes 4. A hay ride 5. Each choosing our own pumpkin 6. 3 gigantic slides 7. A picnic lunch with lunch boxes just like school children use 8. Excavation work in the sand pit 9. Not getting lost in the "Presidents and Pumpkins" themed corn maze 9. Hand picking vegetables from the U-Pick garden before going home 10. A day full of gorgeous New Mexico sunlight

The picture above is of all four of us, plus the little girl I watch, going down the slide together. It looks like a fun idea when others do it, but it definitely is not fun! I have a bit less skin on my elbow than I used to have, and Jon was kicked pretty hard in the ear. By looking at the picture, you'd never guess that we all started in a neat row at the top of the slide.

It's difficult to tell that this is Basia coming down one of the slides. I just thought it was a good picture for showing how large the slide really is.

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
