How Do You Know it's Time...

to get a new vacuum?
1. When it was the first "major" purchase of your now 12-year marriage
2. When people are in danger of being crushed by its spontaneous collapsing
3. When the filter on the side is held on by tape
4. When there is nothing left to hold the wound cord in place
5. WHEN IT PICKS UP ABSOLUTELY NO DIRT!!!!!
My new vacuum is nothing fancy, but it does actually pick up dirt, stand up on its own, keep its cord in place, and have a couple fun new attachments.

Just don't let your hubby get a hold of the new one. I bought a new vacuum, and next thing I knew, my hubby was using it to siphon gas out of my car to put into his (there is more to this story, but I won't bore you with all the details). Anyway, now my nice new vacuum smells like gas every time I turn it on!

That would be a punishable offense, for sure!! I'm thinking he owes you a new vacuum--hmm, unless you are the one who left his car without any gas.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
