A New Reader

You just have to love it as a mom, especially as a homeschooling mom whose children's very education depends on you and only you, when you get interrupted while trying to read a bedtime story by a little girl who is trying to read the words on the next page. Since I was reading her a chapter book (The Littles), I put it away and got out an easy reader book I have so that the words would be geared toward a learning reader. She sounded out the words in that book and asked if she could read another one. She has a long way to go, but, by golly, she's got the bug for reading.
