The kids were invited over to my mom's house to continue the annual tradition of dyeing Easter eggs. When we got there, we realized that she had a lot more fun stuff planned for them!
My mom always has new ideas for how to make the eggs look extra special. This year they got to glue on candy dots and also paint on their eggs with wax.

This was Camden's first time to be included. At two months old, he just watched and slept, but it was still great to have another cousin around to share in the fun! Next year he'll be making a mess like the rest of us.

The kids also got to decorate cookies. Well, we adults joined in, too. Brishen has entered the phase where it is nearly impossible to take a picture of him when he is not making a silly face.

They made Rice Crispy Treat eggs.

Finally, they made chocolate bird nests.
I thought I'd add pictures of Basia hunting eggs at church. There were more kids than ever hunting this year, but Basia was still able to get a lot of eggs. She generously shared her candy with all of us. Brishen has outgrown hunting for eggs. He hung out with the middle school boys in the youth room instead of hunting eggs this year. Wow! Neither Brishen nor Basia wants to hunt eggs at home this year. Basia says that she did plenty of hunting at church already (plus she doesn't want Brishen to grow up without her growing up), and Brishen's moved on. They'll each get a basket with a few goodies in it. I guess I should have savored last years' hunting more. You never know when it may be your last. Basia did ask if we could hide her basket. No one has mentioned the Easter Bunny, so I'm wondering if he's been forgotten.
