People keep telling me that the kids have grown recently. After hundreds of those comments (it seemed, anyway), I decided to check them on our fancy pencil-line-on-the-wall chart. Brishen has grown 3/4 of an inch and Basia 1/2 of an inch--since the end of March!
To go along with the physical growth, Brishen is about to join the mid-high youth group at our church. His buddies at church are in the group, and we decided that he's ready to join them. That's a big, scary step for a mom, to have her son join the youth group. Luckily our church has a separate group for middle-schoolers! I'll try not to get sentimental on Sunday when he has his first meeting.
