Reading Challenge, Week 19

Another week has already passed, and I haven't even blogged once. I prefer blogging with pictures, and there are now extra steps to adding pictures to the blog, so usually I just give up before starting. I'll try to be better. Anyway, this is what we read this week:

Brishen:

30. Revenge of the Shadow King by Derek Benz and J.S. Lewis

Melani:

32. God Grew Tired of Us by John Bul Dau
33. The Translator: A Tribesman's Memoir of Darfur by Daoud Hari

The Sunday School class I lead is learning about the needs of children in the world and how they can help. For the first month of the study, we are learning about the situation in the Sudan. I admit that I knew relatively little about what has gone on there for over twenty years, so I checked out some books at the library. I'm very glad I did. If you don't know what has gone on, I really recommend reading anything about the Lost Boys of Sudan. The second book I read was not about the Lost Boys but was more about what has happened in the Darfur region in Northern Sudan. If you are interested in the Holocaust and WWII, you will definitely be interested to know about Sudan!

Jon:

18. Mort by Terry Pratchett
