Book Challenge, Week 47

Brishen:
68. The Divide by Elizabeth Kay

Melani:
65. Punk Rock Dad by Jim Lindberg
This was a fun read by the lead singer of Pennywise. It is quite amazing how normal his life is. At one point his wife went to a Bunco night while he stayed with his three girls. As soon as his wife got home, he rushed to a show and performed. He then went right back home where he sat up with his vomiting daughter. I have some of their songs on my ipod. And he has to clean up vomit! That's good to know!

66. When You Lie About Your Age, The Terrorists Win by Carol Leifer
Ah, it's nice to read a funny, short-ish book that actually makes you think at times. I'm not old enough yet where I feel the need to lie about my age, but the recommendations on the back of the book were from Seinfeld, Ellen Degereres, Chris Rock, Bill Maher, and other funny guys. I'm glad I read it!

67. The Tween Years by Donna G. Corwin
It's good to know what behaviors are just part of life with a tween. The occasional moodiness my sweet son exhibits is normal and may very likely get worse from this point on. It's really good to know that we aren't dealing with a lot of tween issues that others have to deal with during these years. I think it helps to have a boy and not a girl (we're not smack in the middle of puberty for a while yet), and it helps to homeschool and not have so many friend/peer issues.

I'm noticing that, if I finish this reading challenge, I am going to have read at least 70 books this year!! I can do it!

Jon:
37. Punk Rock Dad by Jim Lindberg (Jon's a wanna be punk rock dad)
