Yes, we do things differently than most. I'm guessing you are used to that by now. Brishen's school year runs from April to April. For the most part his school subjects are above his grade level, so my way of making it up to him for not letting him skip a grade or more ahead in school is to let him advance a few months earlier than others his age. We also do school year-round, so we are through with various levels of subjects at all different times of the year.
So, Monday we will head to IHOP for the yearly celebration breakfast that marks Brishen's rise to the next grade. Only, this year, he has me beat. For the last few weeks, he has been trying to get some of his school subjects done the night before they are assigned to ease up his daytime work load. Last night, he finished all but two subjects of today's work. Today he finished those subjects and all of tomorrow's school already.
What's next? Monday's work. 6th grade. My oldest child is going to start his 6th grade work in a couple minutes. How is it possible I am the mother of a 6th grader?

Congrats Brishen. Wow, 6th grade, I can remember it well. It was just before we moved to New Mexico. You will get to have new adventures and places in your 6th grade.
