My 6th Grade Memories

Since my son is in 6th grade, I thought I'd try to remember my 6th grade year.

1. First dance--I went with Jeremy Borom. I still think his mom forced him to invite me since we went to the same church.
2. Learned that all teachers are not nice--thanks for the lesson, Mrs. M.
3. Loved my red Roper cowboy boots. The not-so-nice teacher made fun of them.
4. Giggled a lot with Jennifer Alarcon and Sarah Phillips
5. Got invited to be in the "cool" group formally (as in, was approached and told that they discussed it and agreed that I could hang out with them) and ditched above friends to join
6. Big end-of-year sleepover party at Debbie Loper's house. Played spin-the-bottle, first kiss, got to go to rated R horror movie, and took one drag on a cigarette

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
