One of my goals this week is to venture out a bit in El Paso and show the kids some of the fun parts about our new home. We went to the El Paso Zoo yesterday and bought a membership so we can go whenever they have special events or when we need somewhere to hang out for a few hours. The zoo is actually better than it used to be, with a brand new Africa exhibit with zebras, giraffes (that were hidden when we were there), ostriches, and such. They also have a fun sea lion show a couple times a day. Most importantly, THEY HAVE MEERKATS!!! Meerkats are Basia's favorite animal in the world, and they have a new meerkat exhibit with a sweet, baby meerkat! We will definitely be going back soon, although I'd prefer to wait until it cools down a bit.
