Pounding

Very soon after the trucks unloaded all our worldly belongings, the congregational care director from St. Mark's rang our doorbell with a delivery.  The church had a "pounding" for us (a pound of this, and pound of that), and she was making the delivery.  I can't tell you how full our freezer and pantry were after I put all the items away!  There were casseroles and cakes, 60 waffles, so many goodies that the kids still think they are in heaven, enough paper products to get us through many a month, and enough macaroni and cheese to keep even Basia happy for a good, long while.  I have to admit that St. Mark's has been doing a really good job of making us feel welcome.  For weeks before our move, we started getting cards of welcome from members of St. Mark's.  Morning Star has done so very much for us, and this move could have been so much more difficult if we did not feel such a warm welcome from St. Mark's in so many ways.
