she won't be studying U.S. History for a couple years, as we are still studying Ancient History. That is the only reason I am willing to post the following quote from Basia, as it is the exact sort of thing opponents of homeschooling like to see. Brishen and I were playing the board game "Made for Trade," which is set in colonial times. Basia saw one of the figures and said,
"Oh, a pelican! I remember about those."
I looked closely all around the board for a pelican. I was confused. I clarified that she said "pelican" and she said that she did.
She finally pointed out this "pelican" for me.
It was a pilgrim.
She does have a great knowledge of Greek gods, though. Does that make it better? A little, at least?
