My Son, A 7th Grader--Deep Breath
In honor of his hard work and super brains, Brishen is rewarded by getting to move to the next grade in April of each year, a whole two months before others his age get to make the same claim. It's such a little token, but it's now tradition. It's April again, so he is a 7th grader. He chose Krispy Kreme for his special meal for his first day of 7th grade. I am really trying hard not to think about the "7th Grade" thing. That's too old for my liking! All this new designation means so far for his schooling is that he finally got his heart's desire (really!) and got to start studying Greek. I'm glad there's a man living in this house who has previously studied some Greek because, well, it's all Greek to me.
