We got our adoption tax credit check from the IRS in the mail today!!! The adoption tax credit is big talk in the adoption world, and the vast majority of the talk is that the IRS is doing a partial audit on virtually everyone who applied the credit to their taxes this year.
Jon told me this morning that it would be really nice if that money came through, and I told him that he was crazy. I told him that we would be getting a letter in the mail that detailed all the proof we are required to send them. We'd then send them all that information and wait, and wait, and wait until they processed it and decided if they would, indeed, give us the refund. That's what is happening to EVERYONE!
I have no idea why ours went through without trouble. I'm in shock, but I won't complain!
