Over.Whelmed.

Overwhelmed is the current state of the adults in this house.  There was some initial thought that updating our homestudy to allow ourselves to adopt domestically would be a breeze.  The reality is closer to hurricane-force winds, at least this week.  There are so many (1,209,977,391,199 to be exact) little things to do, in addition to the many not-so-little-at-all things.  Basically, we are trying to get our entire house transformed from a house fit for 2 kids and 2 adults into a "group home"  while turning in loads of more paperwork and attending 15 MORE hours of training.  It's downright tough right now, but we know the day will come when it is all way more than worth it.  Just bear with us this week.  Blue skies are around the corner (or at least challenges of a completely different sort!)

Hey, if you need a babysitter while you're doing training, Jenacy would love to play with Basia! :) Good luck this week!

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
