It certainly does not feel like it has almost been six months since we said goodbye to her. The upcoming six month date is a big one because it means that CPS will likely be done monitoring her family.
Six months should also be enough time to have moved on, and we have, to an extent. She will always hold a huge, special place in our hearts that no other little one can fill. I still would rather not see pictures of her because it makes me miss the joy she brought into our lives. Every single person in this family adored her because she was just that sort of girl. She radiated joy and fun and silliness.
I just broke down and looked through her picture album on our computer for the first time since she left. It was nice. It reminded me of how much fun she was and how her presence blessed the lives of each of us.
Our prayers and love go out to her as she turns two tomorrow, wherever she may be. She must look so different now. She must be bringing so much joy to her mom and to anyone else she meets.
