Sevens!

We have reached a magical number in our parenting journey. 

We are currently parenting seven children.

We have seven previous placements.

We have provided respite care for seven children.

7...7...7!

We are documenting all of our forever children and foster children with handprints hung on our wall (not the respites, even though we had one respite baby stay longer than one of our actual placements!).  I love how imperfect the handprints are.  I love how giant Brishen's hand is.  I love how chubby Mini Moose's handprint is.  I love how the baby handprints are super messy and hard to recognize.  I love how I am always having to adjust them when someone comes or goes so that the current children are always displayed closer to the top.  I love the memories that each handprint represents.  I can't help but wonder if there will be more handprints someday.
