Basia loved her first season of basketball. She was a mighty tiger, indeed!
We made doughnuts.
Crazy hair day at preschool led to some orange hair fun at homeschool, too.
Yeah. I'm not sure WHY Brishen was attending his class like this, but I did a double take when I walked by and decided to grab the camera. He claims this mask was the closest thing he had to some character he was portraying for his Latin class.
Basia, Cassia, and I enjoyed our first ever girls night out. We went to COAS, the used bookstore in Las Cruces. Then we went out to eat at Aqua Reef. I do admit that I had a big hand in choosing the book store and the restaurant. We finished the night watching a friend from way back in our early homeschooling days perform the lead role in Beauty and the Beast. Alyssa was just plain amazing as Belle. She has a bright future ahead of her for sure. It was a really special night for us girls, and Jon survived with the herd of boys.
Brishen has been wanting to do a 5K, so he jumped at the chance when free tickets were offered for Color Vibe, even though he had to run it alone. He had a good time.
The Tigers!
We took the kids to the War Eagles Museum. I knew it would be a hit, and I was right. I think we'll be heading back before long. My kids are big fans of airplanes.
Zade asked me to take his picture in front of this car. I did. He then stopped next to the next car for a picture. I have about 10 pictures in a row of him smiling just like this in front of each car in the row!
Riding the wing
All the kids were running around outside with their wings out. I have a great picture of all of them posing as airplanes. I just can't show you. You'll have to see our cute, Sir Smiles (who needs a new name now that he has gained true communication skills and has a variety of moods) above and imagine all of them doing the same, all the way up to Brishen.
We got to go to Grandmother's house during Spring Break. She had so much fun planned for the kids. They love all her toys. They got to do an egg hunt. They had fresh homemade play-doh. They also got pizza. I skipped the 'za and went straight for my mom's amazing enchiladas!
Our hammock is in full operation in the back yard. It is now fully in the shade, but this is the early spring view, when the leaves have not yet emerged. I love, love, love our trees.
Grandma came to visit, so we took her to our zoo. We always love taking our wild animals to see their wild animals. We like it so much that we have been back three times since then!
The meerkats were so entertaining!
Basia set the table above. She was proud of her work and wanted a picture taken.
My kids are creative and maybe a bit lazy.
This really cracked me up. We were on our way out the door to go to Jon's birthday dinner. Basia had worn a beautiful dress all on her own. I was very impressed. As we walked out the door, she covered it with a team sweatshirt. Yes, that's my girl!
The big guy is the big 4--0!
