Basia was looking through her notebook of inventions: Mom, why am I so good at everything?
Me: Um, I don't know.
Basia: I must have gotten it from my other family.
She did later ask me what I want her to invent, even though the last 10 plus years of parenting have contributed so little to her success. I mentioned I would like a fudge making machine. She got busy with the sketches right away. I even got to choose whether it would be solar powered or not. Now she wants the initial $1,000 to build the prototype. I told her she needs to go on Shark Tank. I like my fudge, but not quite that much.
