Basia is going through a painting phase right now. She asked me to buy her canvases, but I told her that she needed to practice her art on paper first before I spend all that money.
Sure enough, she got busy. Really busy. She started ripping apart cardboard boxes and painting.
She tells me the above is nighttime in Paris.
This one is her version of Starry Night, and it blows me away. This, ladies and gentlemen, surpasses anything my brain could have ever conceived.
This is her snowflake, and I'm pretty sure it is sideways. I can't remember which way she told me it was to go. It is simple enough, but I know I would have never thought to do just one section with stripes of color. I think there is an artist in there just waiting for time, space, supplies, and instruction. How fun it is to see the passions of your kids. Basia has lots of passions, so she is quite fun!
