1. I ran into both Cassia and Soren at school today since I was at church for a Bible study. Soren ran to give me a hug. Cassia was just plain mad to see me with the stay at home kids. She apparently does not feel we should have any sort of life where she is not involved.
2. Soren wonders why God didn't make super heroes.
3. We are missing Sir Smiles to the point that it probably deserves its own post. I don't know why the grieving is worse right now, but it is. The kids are mentioning him all the time and suggest I just go pick him up. He was their brother, and now he is gone. I hate that they have all had so much loss in their little lives Sir Smiles was just the latest loss.
4. The stories of my Bible Study ladies are amazing. One was a "foundling," found in a paper bag on a doorstep as a newborn. One was a refugee from Cuba who spent much of her childhood alone in a refugee camp in Florida. One had a son whose baby girl was shaken by a family friend. This son went to find the man who killed the baby. The rest is made-for-tv movie material.
5. My youngest is often awake at 4am. My oldest stays up until at least 10pm. I'm not made to be a sweet parent that many hours in a row each and every day.
6. I have book club tomorrow night. I didn't like the book, but not liking it makes me feel like a book snob.
7. My eyes are closing as I try to type.
etc.
