SMA 2014!

Here's our vacation off the top of my head:

Family:  grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and our big crew makes for quite a group!

Games:  hot potato, frisbee Kan Jam (played inside like crazies), Rock the Beat, Camelot, We Didn't Play Test This At All, rubber band fight, blindfolded Christmas drawings, Snake Oil, Reverse Charades, Pit

Snacks:  oh, my goodness!  I could never list them all.  That table was packed!  Yummmm!  My kids were also big fans of eating icicles.

Meals:  Deliciousness that someone else cooked and cleaned.  Priceless!

Weather:  Um, maybe we shoot for summer next time?  The kids were very happy to get their feet into some snow, however, and some couldn't get enough.  Tobias especially loved the glittery white snow boots, snow pants, and gloves in his wardrobe.  Maybe this trip can count for the snow play for the entire year.  We are a bunch of desert rats at this point even though many of us grew up right in the midst of that weather.

Sleep:  What's sleep?  Actually most of my kids slept amazingly well.

Cousins:  They always love being together!

Siblings:  We just aren't together enough, so any opportunity is the best.

Skating:  I was about ready to send Basia to skate without the rest of us.  My  kids were tired and acting the opposite of little darlings.  I was pretty close to calling nap time instead of skating time.  I'm so glad we just went for it instead.  Cassia, Zade, and Soren figured out the roller skating thing right away.  Zade had no problem at all.  Soren is kind of crazy kamikaze, but he did it.  Cassia was more careful, especially after falling onto her face.  I think that Tobias and even Edison would figure it out given a few more tries.

Pictures:  My camera is on its last leg.  Here are the only ones that actually show the subjects:

Rubber band war

Blindfolded Christmas drawing game

Jon was the champion of the game and won this fancy mug with ring.

Resting his eyes

Games

Not a great picture, but they can skate!

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
