"I can paint my OWN fingernails?"
"Yes."
"Now if you don't go back to sucking your thumb, you can always have your nails painted if you want."
I'm pretty sure her thumb sucking days are in the past! I'm not a huge fan of little girls with painted fingernails, but I'm also not a fan of 6-year-olds (next month!) sucking their thumb. I'll take the painted nails.
