Ready to hike after a looong drive (with a sort of border patrol escort at 8mph for the last 4 miles of rough dirt road)
Up to the top
The first cave they explored was too small for parents.
Soren said he would NOT be doing that sort of cave exploring again. The others went right back in.
I tried to get him to smile, but it takes serious concentration to climb out of that little space!
These two went their own way with an occasional arm or head sticking up now and then to help us locate them.
We stopped for lunch at the top of the crater.
I'm not laughing BUT it's possible Basia slid onto a cactus, and I got to pick spines out of her rear!
Jon and I weren't sure we were in shape enough to go to the bottom of the crater this time, and the others aren't quite ready, but Brishen did it. It's not fun for a mom to watch him try to climb his way out, but I'm glad that he has that adventurous spirit.
