We just got back from a fun, new dining experience. Grandma was taking us out, so we decided to try somewhere new. We went to Aqua Reef, and it was lots of fun. We almost felt like big city folks, however, using the term "folks" probably gives us away. There were dishes on the menu that we have only ever seen on those Food Network shows we like to watch.
I was proud of the kids for their willingness to try new things. They both tried my seaweed salad more than once--it was really good--I'm not kidding--I mean it, Dad--stop gagging! They both had several bites of Jon's miso soup. They had pineapple skewers and humus with black beans and corn. Then they got a neat boat full of peanut butter and honey sushi rolls for their main dish. Jon and I went for the ones with green chile. Almost the entire menu is for meat eaters, but we loved the items without meat and can't wait to visit again. The restaurant was packed, so I'm hoping it is going to last!

Where is it located? That is something we will have to try out when we get back.
It's on Telshor, where DG's deli used to be.
