Tour of Our Day

We started our day at our farmer's market. We decided that, since we have been able to keep a few vegetable plants alive this year, we would expand our garden. We bought two different tomato plants and two types of herbs.

Basia's favorite reason for going to the farmer's market is the kettle corn. Her second favorite reason is the face painting. A young girl does face painting for fifty cents. I love supporting her booth, and Basia loves the end results.

Poor Grandma doesn't get many breaks from playing during her visit. Basia was generous and gave her one ten-minute break this evening. They spent part of the afternoon building a fence to contain Basia's newest animal friends: 2 meercats, 1 penguin, 1 lamb, and 1 okapi.

Grandma took the kids to the store for a gift, and surprise, surprise, Brishen chose a new Lego set. Here he is starting to put it together.

Here he is a very short while later with all 400+ pieces put together. Isn't the building supposed to take a while? I guess it just leaves more time for Brishen and Jon to play with the finished product.

We also went to a graduation party this evening. All I have to say about it is "chocolate fountain"! That would be why I made sure to get in a long walk when I got home. Here is where Charlie spent much of his day, as usual. He has such a rough life.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
