As strange as it may seem to have an ice hockey team in the desert, El Paso has our very own Rhinos hockey team. We went to our first game last night. We bought tickets and the giant jersey Basia is wearing at a silent auction. First of all, no one told me how flippin' cold it is in a hockey stadium! Second of all, I had absolutely no clue about any of the rules of hockey. So this was a fun learning experience, where I did finally learn that there is a heater that blows on you if you sit in just the right area of the bleachers.
It was fun to have friends with us, especially friends who wear NMSU shirts to Texas! The picture below is proof that I have absolutely no clue how to take pictures in the dark, or if you even should take pictures in the dark.
This picture shows that Basia does not always get her way. Can you believe the cruelty of her mother?
