You know I've been a lazy blogger when my sister is blogging more than I am! You're surprising me quite pleasantly, Robin, with your recent blog activity! Here's my attempt at catching up:
Our dog has a love affair with washcloths, towels, and bath mats. Anytime we are away from home, we come back to see which one he has drug out of the bathroom for a snuggle.
Ecology may seem like a great thing to have your middle schooler study over the summer. It's not. He may just drive you crazy when he starts questioning how many watts of electricity this or that type of appliance uses, comparing cost and taste of organic and non-organic veggies, weighing the trash compared to the recycling, building mini air conditioners and leaving them on all night long, thus freezing the mini imaginary people in his mini house, asking for all your utility bills for the past year, checking the bottom of all your plastic cups to make sure you're not trying to give him cancer and on and on and on and on. His knowledge is getting a little out of hand. I will be glad when he gets to his "real" science in September.
Remember the peaceful "Book Nook" I created for my kids? They fight over it. The peace is gone.
This dude, called "Granddad" by my kiddos and just plain "Dad" by me, got another year older on Sunday. My mom made lots of delicious homemade ice cream for the occasion. We hope he gets older a lot more often!
Do you remember cousin Kaia? She is doing so well and getting so big! She's still the star attraction at family gatherings.
