Miss Independent is 4!

That's right, we have another 4-year-old.  Miss Independent (shall we call her "Cassia"?) had her birthday, as well.  It seems strange that she isn't the oldest of the little ones because she rules the roost and is certainly independent and mature.  She's my helper and a fierce mom-in-training.  I hear my words out of her mouth all the time, and it's not always cute.  She can ride a bike without training wheels.  She memorizes whole books after a couple readings.  She loves all things purple, pink, princess-y, and girly, but she can definitely play like one of the boys.  Grandmother made her beautiful cake, and she was very proud of it.  Uncle Ken led a wild game of Ring Around the Rosies followed by Tackle the Uncle.  The picture below is the only one I got where foster child faces cannot be seen.  Cassia got a doll cradle, fancy new shoes with laces, and other little toys for her birthday.  She was my one deviant from the birthday pancake request--she wanted potato soup.  She could live on potato soup!  This one is going to keep us on our toes, but I'm sure there are big things in store for her!
