Wee One Is Not So Wee

Wee One is two!  How that is possible, I just don't know!  He came to our door as the cutest 3-month-old baby and was my baby for a long time.  It's hard for me to believe that he is the age his sister was when she came to our house.

Most of my kids have been requesting pancakes for their birthday meal.  Wee One wanted pancakes and pizza, so I gave him pancakes.  I made him (and forgot to picture) a big stack of pancakes, with whipped cream and sprinkles on the top.  He was disgusted by the whipped cream and mostly used his pancakes for building projects.  This might be why he remains in the 3rd percentile for his age.  This also shows some of his excellent table manners.  The picture doesn't show, but I'm guessing he is drinking some milk and letting it flow out of his mouth like a river into the reservoir of his bib.  Yes, he's a work in progress with 1000% a mind of his own.

Wee One (let's just call him Edison from now on :) since he's not so Wee), er, Edison, is obsessed with all thing vehicle.  It is scary to be in a vehicle with him when he spots some sort of fire engine, ambulance, train, airplane, cement mixer, bulldozer, or other sight that pleases him.  He goes out-of-his-mind happy!  I took him to see a fire engine parked outside a station last week, and his reaction amused all the fire personnel!  Grandmother makes amazing cakes these days.  I just can't get over them!  This was the cake she made for Edison.  He's a lucky boy!

Anyway, he got presents galore, including a balance bike small enough for his tiny self.  He enjoyed ruling the world for the day and is still singing happy birthday songs to his Lego creations and sandbox cakes.  He also forces me to watch the video texts from his cousins singing to him a little too often...

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
