Just the Christmas We Needed

Today was the most low-key Christmas we have ever had, and it was amazing.  I miss having more friends and family over (thankfully, my parents came for a while!), but, other than that, I wish Christmas were like this every year!

Christmas 2014:

We stayed in our pajamas ALL  DAY LONG!!!

The kids didn't even notice that we didn't have a nice meal today.  No one cared!

After dumping the stockings and opening the gifts, Edison said, "thank you, Jesus, for our presents!"

Cassia was the first awake and was so happy and excited about her stocking.  This is big since we had to force her to participate in anything Christmas morning the last two years.

We watched the last of the essential Christmas movies.

We ALL took an afternoon nap.  Dreamy!

The kids played so well all day with very few sibling issues.  New toys were shared.  Books were shared.  Candy was shared.

We had an easy crock pot supper.

Everyone got to bed on time.

My camera is still packed from our after Christmas trip, so I'll just leave you with a few Christmas Eve pictures that I had already downloaded onto the computer.

(Soren's picture is still on my camera.  Edison wouldn't pose.  Roo is in all the family pictures.)

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
